Palace Overmantle Mirror
A commanding architectural presence in the full Rococo style, this stunning English over-mantle mirror hails from the "middle room" of the Governor's Palace in Colonial Williamsburg, where the royal governor conducted official business in the 18th Century. This "chimney glass" was originally meant to appear as an extension of the mantel piece itself sitting directly on the molding. Finished in hand-laid antique gold leaf. CARVERS' GUILD licensee to COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG.
